First let us see the details of the temple and the different sannadhis, the deties of the temple.

VARIOUS SANNADHIS:
Sannadhi 1
Moolavar:
Sri Venkata Krishnan(with moushtache and adisesha at his feet, dressed as a warrior with a small knife in his hip and showing his kula darma as a cow boy with a kol. Emperuman on the right hand holds the Panchajanyam(sankam) and on the left he has a Vaikundha Hastam which shows his feet to the Bhakthas as saying 'Mam Yekam Charanam Vraja' ) with Sri Rukmini Thayar (to his side), Balaramar, Sathyaki, Pradhyumnan and Aniruddhan.
Utsavar:
Sri Parthasarathi ( with the marks made by the arrows of Bheeshma in the Bhaaratha yuddha all over his face also one or two in other places of his body like in the toe. The lord bore the arrows in his face to protect arjuna his devotee and till today shows to his bhakthas that he is Bhakthavatsalan)


Sannadhi 2
Moolavar:
Sri Ranganathan (with Brahma in his Nabhi. Emperuman doesn't have Sanghu chakram in his hands since he came here for marriage and hence without the aayudhams but with a padmam in hand). On the side Sri Bhoovarahar and Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar are also seen.
Utsavar:
Sri Mannathan (in kalyana kolam in which he came to marry Sri Vedavalli)


Sannadhi 3
Moolavar:
Sri Chakravarthi Thirumagan with Seetha Piratti, and brothers lakshmana,Bharatha and chatrukuna (seen as family)
Utsavar:
Sri Ramar with Piratti and lakshmana
Opposite to this sannadhi is the Anjaneyar sannadhi and near this sannadhi is the alwars and acharyas sannadhi.


Sannadhi 4 (Thaayaar Sannadhi)
Moolavar:
Sri Ranganayaki Thaayaar
Utsavar:
Sri Vedavalli (Consort of Sri Mannathan)


Sannadhi 5
Moolavar:
Sri Gajendra Varadhan(on Nitya Garuda Sevai)

Utsavar:
Sri Varadharaja Perumal


Sannadhi 6
Moolavar:
Sri Yoga Narasimhar (sitting on the Yoga peedam)
Utsavar:
Sri Telliya Singam/Sri Azhagiya Singar(with Agvana Hastam,inviting the bhakthas to come)


Sannadhi 7
Moolavar:
Sri Soodhikodutha Nachiyaar
Utsavar:
Sri Andal (consort of Sri Parthasarathi Perumal)

VIMANAM:
1. Aanandha Vimanam
2. Pranava Vimanam
3. Pushpa Vimanam
4. Sesha Vimanam
5. Daiveeka Vimanam
The unique feature of the main temple vimanam is that it resembles a Gopuram by itself.

THEERTHTHAM:
Kairavini pushkarini- This is supposed to be surrounded by 5 other punya theerththams namely, Indra, Soma, Agni, Meena and Vishnu theerththams. Though very closed to the sea there were no fishes in this pushkarini . Though today the old Pushikarini is been modifies into a smaller tank filled with water for the purpose of Theppostavams to the Emperumans in the Tamil month of Masi.

PRATYAKSHAM:
Arjunan, Sumathi Rajan(Sri Parthasarathi), and to the Saptha Rishis who did tapas in this Tulasi vanam(Brigu- as Sri Mannathan who married Brigu puttri(daughtera) Sri vedavalli, Athri-Sri Telliya singar, Marichi, Markandeya, Sumathi, SaptharOma-Sri Gajendra Varadhar, Jali). Sri Ramar was supposed to have come to give darshan to Maduman Maharishi.

THALAVRIKSHAM:
Magizha Maram is the thala vriksham for this temple present near the kopura vaasal.

MANGALAASASANAMS:
Peyazhwar, Thirumazhisai Alwar and Thirumangai Alwar (see paasurams in the Alwar mangalaasasanams page)

OTHER SANNADHIS (ALWARS AND AACHARYAS):
Separate sannadhi for peyazhwar and Nammazhwar are present outside the temple premises in the maada veedhees.
Inside the temple separate sannadhis for Thirumazhisai Alwar, Sri Aalavandaar, Sri Thirukacchi Nambi, Sri Vendathachariar, Sri Emperumanar, Sri Manavala Mamunigal(Inside in a separate place shrines of Sri Koorathazhwan, Sri Mudaliyaandaan and Sri Pillai Lokacharya are seen) are present.

    I would like to know more about the word agvana. I tried my sanskrit dictionary and I could not find its origin. Is it spelled right ? Thank you.
