Jeshtabishekam:-

It is the utrsavam which comes in aadi of the tamil month. In this utsavam. all the golden kavachams(bullet proof) is removed and Thirumanjanam (Abhishekam) is done to Lord Parthasarathy without the golden kavachams. It is done only once in a year in aadi shravanam of the day after aadi povrnami. On this day most of the persons dont like to have a darshan of Parthasarathy swmay, because after all the kavachams are removed, lord parthsarathy's face appears with more of wound, and when we see him, automaticaly tears will be rolling in our eyes. You can see this in the picture, even the close up picture of his face tells you.

Then in the evening all the kavachams will be polished and adorned in the body of lord Parthasarathy, if you see in the evening, Lord Parthasarathy will be shining like a diamond.
Next day of jeshtabishekam, there comes Thurpavadai utsvam.


It is the utsvam in which curd rice is put in front of the Lord in a large quantity and it will be dressed with various fruits and nuts and it will be displayed in an attractive way. Afetr thiruvaradhanam ans nevedhyam is over all the devottees are allowed to see this. Thirupavadai(curd rice spread on the ground before the lord) after all the devotees has seen it, there comes the final sathumarai in which the sthala pattu is recited before him, after that theertha and prasadaham distribution. Parasadham is distributed in a large quantity for each and every person.
